Painting, painting, and more painting!

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

I’ve been doing a lot of painting this year. It’s been fun and cathartic and healing and energizing in a way that art has never been for me. I’ve loved every singe and sometimes, frustrating minute of it.

Earlier this year, I set a goal for myself to sell a painting. I’ve been making and selling art in one form or another for years, but have never sold a painting. And even though I am DEEPLY in love with this one, it’s the one I’m selling. So, if I’m crying while packing it up to ship, it will be equal parts happy and sad tears!!!

The painting is titled, “As Above, So Below.” I thought I might tell you what that means to me, but I love when other people decide what it means for them. It measures 24 by 24 inches including a self-hanging poplar wood frame (see other photos). It’s mixed media with vintage papers, pencil, acrylic paint, watercolor paint and pastels. It’s got TONS of texture, so if that’s your thing, you’re going to LOVE this painting!!!
